June Newsletter
Meg Black exhibit starts June 12th!
As an art student too broke to purchase commercially made paper, Meg began her career by hooking up with a garbage disposal and used it to grind scraps of discarded paper into soggy pulp. At first, she formed the pulp back into some resemblance of paper, but eventually began using different colored pulps to paint with. In this way, she took a material that had been intended to be the recipient of media and flipped it into the medium itself. Now, her incredible pulp paintings grace the walls of U.S. Embassies, university libraries, corporate boardrooms, and starting June 12th at Elizabeth Home!
